Kathmandu. The government has directed the closure of schools and colleges on September 22 and 9. Issuing a notice, the Ministry of Education and Sports has directed the closure of schools and colleges on September 8 and 9 in coordination with the local level.

The government has ordered the closure of schools and colleges as a precautionary measure as heavy rainfall is predicted in various places across the country on 8th, 9th, 10th and 11th.

There are regular holidays on Saturday, September 10 and Sunday on September 11. Thus, on September 8, 9, 10, 11, schools will be closed.

On the other hand, the Ministry of Education has also directed to postpone the examinations scheduled from September 22 to 11 as per the need. The government has also urged to use safe school buildings as temporary shelters and keep children away from rivers, rivers, ponds and places where there is a risk of landslides.
