Kathmandu. Ride-sharing app Pathao has announced that it will implement a subscription model for riders and captains. Pathao has announced that it will change the commission-based income system to a subscription-based system.

According to the new system, Pathao captains will not have to pay commission on the basis of percentage from the income of each ride. According to Pathao, instead of commission, riders and Pathao captains will now be able to ride by paying a daily, weekly or monthly fixed subscription fee.

According to Pathao, the subscription fee for the car is Rs. 149 for 24 hours. Rs. 149 for 7 days. Rs. 699 for 30 days. Rs. 2,299. Similarly, for bikes, Rs. 24 for 24 hours. Rs. 49, for 7 days. Rs. 299 and Rs. for 30 days. The fee is fixed at Rs. 999*.

Launched on the occasion of its 8th anniversary with the slogan “Reasonable Rate, Value Hard Work”, the rider and Pathao Captain can purchase the subscription package from the Pathao Drive app.

The 5 percent VAT and 1 percent TDS on the ride fare paid by the customer will remain the same. Pathao said that the amount related to these taxes will be the responsibility of the driver separately from the subscription fee.

Pathao believes that such a facility brought by Pathao will benefit the riders. At a time when riders and captains of various ride-sharing platforms are raising their voices about low fares, such a facility brought by Pathao is seen as meaningful.

Earlier, the riders had been raising Rs. Pathao has also expressed its positive opinion on the demand of Rs 25 per kilometer. However, Pathao has demanded that the government should make a clear provision for the same fare on all ride-sharing platforms for fair competition.
