Kathmandu. Two people have died in landslides in Mathagadhi Rural Municipality-2 and Ribdikot Rural Municipality-6 of Palpa.
The deceased have been identified as Sher Bahadur Chidi, 75, of Rupse Rajauli of Mathagadhi Rural Municipality-2 and Krishna Kumari Saru, 59, of Ribdikot Rural Municipality-6, Thimure Dhustung, according to Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Bhimlal Bhattarai of the District Police Office.
The bodies of both the deceased have been recovered. Both the bodies have been kept at the District Hospital, Palpa for post-mortem.
Similarly, three people have gone missing in the landslide. The house of Lil Bahadur Gharti Magar has been buried in the landslide at Kaseni Bhaisikatta of Mathagadhi Rural Municipality-3. Two members of Gharti’s family and a daughter of a neighbor are still missing. The search for them is underway, said Deputy Superintendent of Police Bhattarai.
