Corrupt and polygamous people are barred from entering the civil service, DV and PR takers are also ‘no entry’!

Kathmandu. Nepalis who have obtained DV and have obtained PR from different countries or have obtained green cards have been prohibited from entering the civil service.This provision has been made in the bill designed to amend the law related to the federal and .

Clause 18 of the bill (2) (c) provides for a ban on the entry of a person in the civil service in Nepal who has obtained a permanent residence permit of a foreign country.

Clause 2 of Chapter 1 of the same bill (T) defines the Diversity Immigrant Visa (DV), Permanent Resident (PR) and Green Card as Permanent Residence Permit. Those who have obtained such permission will not be allowed to enter the civil service.

Similarly, the bill also bars the entry of people convicted by the court of corruption, forgery of government or public documents, crimes against national interest anddrug trafficking.

On the other hand, people convicted of money laundering, antiquities, human trafficking, kidnapping, physical confinement, forced rape (rape), polygamy, caste and other social untouchability and discrimination or any other criminal offense involving moral turpitude are also barred from applying for civil service.
