Kathmandu. Locals are trying to restore Soti Bazaar in Arughat Rural Municipality-3 of Gorkha district, which was affected by the floods in the Budhigandaki River on October 10. After the floods piled up mud inside the houses, the affected locals are trying to clean up the house and restore normal life. The Nepal Army has supported in this.

About 15 houses and commercial structures in Soti were hit by the floods. As a result, some families have been forced to leave their homes and take shelter in relatives and community halls.

The flood has also swept away the motorable bridge ( motorable bridge over Budhigandaki River 2 and 3 connecting Soti and and Manbu. The bridge has been washed away affecting the movement of locals. The movement of pedestrians to Manaslu trekking route, Dharche and Chumnubri has come to a standstill during the festival.

The mud and debris piled up on the road in the Soti Bazar area has also created difficulties in the operation of transportation. The work of clearing that road is going on.

Removing the mud that has entered the house, understanding the condition of the damaged structure, and making arrangements for safe settlement has become the main challenge for the locals. See the rest of the picture:
