KATHMANDU: IGI Prudential Insurance Limited and Janakpur Bolts have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to promote cricket as an important sport, enhance financial security of players and expand institutional cooperation. The agreement was signed by Yugesh Bhakta Bade Shrestha, Chief Executive Officer of IGI Prudential Insurance Limited and Niroj Khatiwada, General Manager of Janakpur Bolts.

After the agreement, the Nepali players, coaches, staff, and officials associated with Janakpur Bolts will be insured during the match season. In addition, Janakpur Bolts will provide all the insurance to IGI Prudential Insurance Limited.

This collaboration is expected to support the development and institutional strengthening of cricketers in collaboration with IGI Prudential Insurance and Janakpur Bolts. Under this collaboration, both organizations will collaborate in various activities of mutual interest by utilizing the expertise, access and resources of their respective fields.

On the occasion, Chief Executive Officer of the company, Yugesh Bhakta Bade Shrestha said that the company has been participating in the sports sector of Nepal from time to time and will continue to do so in the future. He said that the company has been actively participating in various sports including cricket, volleyball, football, futsal in collaboration with inter-agency and regulatory bodies.

He also said that he is proud to be a part of the development and expansion of the sports sector by collaborating with Janakpur Bolts, a historical and glorious club of Nepal, to keep the morale of the players high. Speaking on the occasion, Shrestha expressed his commitment to continue the collaboration between the two organizations. This collaboration with Janakpur Bolts has been initiated with the objective of further promoting the remarkable progress that Nepali cricket has been making at the national and international level.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Niroj Khatiwada, General Manager of Janakpur Bolts, expressed his gratitude to IGI Prudential Insurance, CEO and the entire IGI Prudential family for their support in the development and expansion of the game of cricket. He expressed his confidence that the agreement with Janakpur Bolts will help in the long term development journey of the club.
