Kathmandu. Karnali Province Chief Minister Mangal Bahadur Shah i has made public his property details 63 days after assuming office. According to the public details, the name of Chief Minister Shahi’s family is found to have real estate, gold and silver, bank stocks in Mugu, vehicles and other properties. Most of the land and some houses have been mentioned as ancestral property in the statement.
More than 22 plots of land in the name of the mother
Chief Minister Shahi’s mother Aisha has a house spread over an area of 2,000square meters in Mugu Soru Rural Municipality-6.
The source of the said house is mentioned as ancestral property. Similarly, in the name of his daughter Usmita Shahi, there is a house of 56.25 sq. m area in the erstwhile Srinagar VDC-4. It is stated in the statement that the house was received from box deed.
Chief Minister Shahi owns 402 square meters of land in the erstwhile land VDC-9 while his wife Narayan Devi Shahi owns 424 square meters of land in the erstwhile Srinagar VDC-4. The land was purchased for Rs 20 lakh and its source is income from business.
Similarly, his mother’s name has more than 22 plots of land in different wards of . The source of all these lands is said to be ancestral property.
10 tola gold and 10 tola silver
Chief Minister Shahi has made public the details that he has 10 tolas of gold and 10 tolas of silver in his name. He has mentioned that out of the gold , four tolas of gold are ancestral property. According to the details, he bought two tolas of gold for Rs 50,000 from the teacher’s salary in 2053 BS.
Similarly, in 2075 BS, he bought one tola gold for Rs 40,000, in 2080 BS he bought one tola gold for Rs 90,000 and in 2081 BS he bought two more tolas of gold for Rs 240,000.
He has two lakh rupees in deposits in his bank account and the source of which is government facilities. Chief Minister Shahi does not have any shares, bonds or other securities of any company in his name.
18 lakh loan, scooter in the name of daughter
Chief Minister Shahi has stated that he had taken a loan of Rs 1.8 million from the Mugu branch of Agriculture DevelopmentBank on July 11, 2022 and has already paid some amount so far.
On the other hand, his daughter Usmita has a scooter Suzuki purchased in the name of Shahi in 2075 BS for Rs 2.35 lakh. According to the details, his family does not own a private four-wheeler .
In terms of livestock, Chief Minister Shahi has seven cows and oxen. Similarly, he owns a Samsung worth Rs 90,000 and a Vivo mobile phone worth Rs 60,000, a camera worth Rs 1.10 lakh and a laptop worth Rs 90,000, according to the property details.
