Kumari Bank provides Rs 46 lakh donation to flood victims

Kathmandu. The employees of Kumari Bank have donated about 46 lakhs to the flood victims of Rasuwa-Trishuli-Bhotekoshi. In solidarity with the flood-affected communities, the employees of the bank voluntarily donated Rs 45,97,353 to the Prime Minister’s Natural Disaster Relief Fund by voluntarily deducting from their salary. They donated Rs 50.

The bank employees voluntarily collected the amount in solidarity with the affected communities who suffered huge human and material losses due to natural disasters. The money collected will be used for relief, rescue and rehabilitation programs through the Prime Minister’s Natural Disaster Relief Fund.

The bank has always kept social responsibility as its top priority and has maintained the tradition of standing with the affected communities during disasters. The bank believes that this contribution of the employees has further strengthened human sensitivity, social cohesion, and responsibility towards the nation.

Earlier, Kumari Bank had donated Rs 3 crore to the Prime Minister’s Natural Disaster Relief Fund to support the relief, rescue, rehabilitation and reconstruction of the people affected by the Trishuli-Bhotekoshi floods. In addition, the Ministry of Home Affairs has been provided with modern drones, power banks and generators worth Rs 39 lakh to make the rescue and relief work effective for the people affected by the floods.
