More than 14,000 jobs lost in U.S. jobs

Kathmandu. About 14,000 workers have lost their jobs at a truck factory in the US state of Ohio. The staff cuts, which took place just days before President Donald Trump’s election rally, have raised concerns in the local working community.

A large number of employees were cut Wednesday at the former Navistar truck factory in southwestern Ohio. This is said to have affected jobs and the local economy in the Dayton area.

Among those who lost their jobs, 30-year-old Kyle Bose said it was difficult to make ends meet for his family’s daily expenses. Bose, a father of two daughters, is expecting another child in January. He said rising food and daily consumables prices have added to the economic pressure.

Bose, who has voted for Trump three times in the past, is disappointed with the latest situation. He is preparing to participate in a campaign to reach out to voters for the Democratic Party in the upcoming November election.

Meanwhile, Trump is scheduled to hold an election rally in the same area on Saturday. The support of the working class is likely to be crucial in the upcoming election due to the decline in jobs and inflation. The Dayton area, once known for industrial activity and employment, is now experiencing economic uncertainty.
