Kathmandu. A rescue team of the Nepal Army has reached the areas affected by the flash floods of Budhigandaki. The rescue team of the Nepal Army has been mobilized at around 4:30 am on Sunday after the flood of Budhi Gandaki was opened due to a landslide in Chumnubri Rural Municipality-3 of Gorkha.
According to the Directorate of Public Relations and Information of the Nepal Army, the army team has been deployed in the affected areas by air and land for search and rescue after the floods. Both the teams conducted ‘recce’ and observation and also carried out an air rescue of six people from Jagat village, which is at risk of landslides.
The Composite Quick Response Team based in Kathmandu has been airlifted to the area and the team is urging the people living on the river banks and surrounding areas to move to safer places.
