Kathmandu. The Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) has said that the waste management work will be affected at Bancharedanda, the last waste management site in the Kathmandu Valley, from October 15 to October 4.

According to KMC, the waste management will be affected as the sanitation workers also go to celebrate Dashain, the biggest festival of Nepalis.

Chief of Environment Management Department of KMC, Sarita Rai, requested one and all to categorize waste generated from October 14 and categorize it into non-biodegradable category.

She said, “Do not throw the waste generated from your house, office and business haphazardly on the streets and public places and manage it in your own house and compound.” Apart from that date, the waste will be managed regularly on other days, according to the KMC.
