Kathmandu. Durga Prasain has demanded that the salary of government employees be increased to one lakh. Prasain’s representatives made this demand during the talks with Home Minister Om Prakash Ary al at Singha Durbar on Wednesday.

This demand has also been included in the 27-point demand letter submitted by them to the Home Minister.

Point 22 of the demand letter has demanded that the salary of police, army, civil servants and teachers should be Rs 100,000.The monthly salary of civil servants, police, army andteachers should be at least one lakh rupees.“, the demand letter states.

Similarly, on the same point, the Prasain group has demanded the government to formulate a law of imprisonment for life if found involved in corruption even though they have sufficient salary for living.
