Kathmandu. Kandel’s family has filed a case against CEO of Citizens Bank Ganesh Raj Pokhrel after he filed a complaint against the bank’s CEO Ganesh Raj Pokharel. The Kandel family has gone to the court demanding an order not to arrest Rosy Kandel immediately as she was made to sign the papers without being allowed to read them, and the bank has also frozen her property in the bank scam.

The District Police Office, Morang, has confirmed that no arrest warrant has been issued against Kandel as they have also been named as the defendants in the case. Superintendent of Police (SP) of Morang, Kabit Katuwal, said that the arrest warrant has not been issued as Kandel’s father had approached the court before taking permission to arrest him.

The bank had sought an explanation from Kandel after it was found that the loan was issued by creating fake files. Kandel, who had submitted clarification on February 26 to the bank, had given a total of 1 bigha 12 kattha and 6 dhur land in Rangeli of Morang in the name of her father-in-law Khagendra Prasad Rijal. But the next day, the bank filed a complaint with the police.

Kandel’s family has mortgaged 0-14-6-0 plot of Darbesa 5 (5B) of Rangeli Municipality of Morang, 0-8-7-2 of Darbesha 3 (3C) plot no 467, 0-6-18-0 of 3 (3C) plot number 544 and 0-2-15-2 of Darbesha 3 (3C) plot number 465. On February 1, 2002, the mortgage of these lands was registered and frozen. And the next day, on the 27th, after completing the remaining process, the bank seems to have dismissed Kandel on March 12 ।
