Kathmandu. Police have arrested four persons on the charge of swindling hundreds of thousands of rupees on the pretext of sending them abroad with lucrative salary.

The arrestees have been identified as Mithilesh Kushwaha (25) of Baudhimai municipality-7 in Rautahat, Kedar Bahadur Bhandari (44) of Bhojpur municipality-7, Ramtula Miya, 53, of Surunga municipality-5 in Saptari and Sunita Khatri, 55, of Suryabinayak municipality-7 in Bhaktapur.

According to him, they were arrested on the basis of a complaint filed by the victims that Mithilesh took Rs 350,000 in the promise of sending them to Kuwait, Kedar Bahadur Rs 125,000 in the name of sending them to Portugal and Ramtula and Sunita took Rs 350,000 in the name of sending them to Albania.

The arrestees have been sent to the Foreign Employment Department, Tahachal, Kathmandu for necessary investigation and actions, said spokesperson Karki.
