Kathmandu. The government has approved the annual budget for the fiscal year 2083/84.

The meeting of the Council of Ministers held at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers at Singha Durbar today approved the budget statement to be presented in the federal parliament, according to government spokesperson and Minister for Education and Sports Sasmit Pokharel.

Finance Minister Dr Swarnim Wagle is scheduled to present the budget estimates of the coming fiscal year in the joint session of the parliament at 4:00 pm today.

As per the constitutional provision, the government has to unveil the budget for the new fiscal year on May 29.
