Kathmandu. Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) President Rabi Lamichhane has urged industrialists and entrepreneurs not to panic. During a meeting with the representatives of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Confederation of Nepalese Industries (CNI), Nepal Chamber of Commerce and Industry among others on Sunday, he urged all not to be suspicious towards the RSS and the incumbent government.
“I wanted to discuss with you as the private sector seems suspicious and a bit scared,” Lamichhane said. You have nothing to fear or be alarmed about. We don’t want to cause any trouble to the businessmen. He made it clear that the government had to be ruthless because some businessmen and characters were moving forward to control the country’s economy in their hands.
President Lamichhane said the problems of the private sector should be addressed for the development of real economy and the RSP has prepared a roadmap for the same. He also made it clear that industrialists and businessmen do not need to visit their homes and party offices to address their problems.
“You don’t have to look at me or the party office. We want to address your problems easily. You may have experimented and experienced differently in the past, you may have participated in it, but we want to feel the change in a different way,” he said.
FNCCI President Chandra Dhakal urged the private sector to work smoothly as it was the zone of peace. “This area is being attacked in every movement. We are the main target of every movement. Our demand is that this should not happen,” he said.
CNI President Birendra Raj Pandey pointed out the need of encouraging and encouraging the private sector in the context of declining capital formation. Acting President of Chamber of Commerce Deepak Malhotra said that the government should play the necessary role in development construction and economic reforms, saying the government has high expectations from the government with clear majority.
‘The government does not make citizens homeless’
On a different note, President Lamichhane made it clear that the government would not make anyone homeless. “We will not make anyone homeless. There is a problem today, but it solves the problem once and for all. We are trying to relocate the people who are at risk to safer places on the banks of the river,” he said.
