Kathmandu. within Singha Durbar expired (Date Expired) Action has been taken against our eatery selling curd. The Department of Commerce, Supply and Consumer Protection has taken action against Hamro Eatery after it was found selling expired curd during emergency market monitoring.
An official of the department involved in the monitoring said that a fine of Rs 2005,000 was immediately paid to our café at Kathmandu Metropolitan City-11 .
The café is operated by the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority (NDRRMA). According to an official of the department, it was found that the curd kept for sale in the eatery had expired.
The department has decided to fine the eatery as per Section 38 (e) of the Consumer Protection Act, 2075 and Section 39 (1) (B) of the same Act.
