Kathmandu. Kamana Sewa Bikas Bank has handed over 10 donor beds to Nepal Red Cross Society based in Morang district through its branch office in Biratnagar. The donor bed was provided by the bank to facilitate the effective operation of blood transfusion service and to provide blood donation programs to the poor and underprivileged patients on time.
The donor bed was handed over by the bank’s Koshi Province Chief Khim Lal Bhusal to Sukhdev Prasad Mandal, Chairman of Nepal Red Cross Society. NRCS Society President Mandal expressed his gratitude to the bank and said that this support would contribute to conduct blood donation program and provide a conducive environment to blood donors.
Speaking at the program, Province Chief Bhusal said that the Bank is proud to support blood donation and blood transfusion service which is directly related to saving human life. As a part of its social responsibility, the bank has been continuously supporting the sectors of education, health and social services. As the donor bed is essential in conducting the blood collection service, the support from the bank is expected to help make the service more easy and effective.
The program was attended by the bank’s staffers, officers and members of Nepal Red Cross Society. The bank has pledged to carry out such humanitarian and social works with priority in the days ahead.
