70 lakh fraudsters in the name of showing World Cup for free, account can be emptied by clicking on the phishing link, how to avoid it?

Kathmandu. A man has been found to have been duped of Rs 70 lakh by promising to show the FIFA World Cup for free. According to the Cyber Bureau, it has been found that 70 lakh people have been cheated by spreading propaganda on social media with the promise of showing the ‘World Cup’ and installing malware

According to the Bureau, about 70 people have filed complaints of fraud.Spokesperson of the bureau and Superintendent of Police Dilip Kumar Giri said that some Rs 70 lakh was swindled on the basis of these complaints.

According to the police, most of the youths are of the scams.Most of them have complained to the Cyber Bureau that they were cheated by clicking on an unknown link without knowing that they could watch the World Cup for free. The bureau is currently investigating the complaints. 

How does happen? 

According to the Cyber Bureau, while the ‘World Cup’ season is going on, there is a propaganda on social media that ‘World Cup’ will be shown for free. 

where hackers trick social media users into clicking the malware link. In this way, by clicking the link, the normal application will be downloaded to the mobile . Through this seemingly normal app , the hacker installs malware on the mobile and accesses on the mobile.

Hacker with access to the mobile banking and and transfers the money without the user’s knowledge ।

How to avoid

In this way, the Nepal Police had warned the citizens on April 21 {{} in the name of ‘World Cup’, saying that the incidents of cyber fraud would increase. The police had urged people to avoid such publicity materials, saying that the number of fraudsters has increased by publicizing the World Cup for free. Nepalese have been duped by thetemptation to watch the World Cup for free.

In Nepal, you can watch the World Cup safely by paying a fee of Rs 549 to Rs 999.Therefore, the police have also urged people not to click on the suspicious link and not to install the app in the lure of watching the World Cup for free.
