Five arrested for cheating people in the name of foreign employment

Kathmandu. Five persons have been arrested on the charge of swindling huge amount of money on the pretext of sending them to different countries on the pretext of lucrative salary.

The arrestees have been identified as Krishna Kumar Khadka, 46, of Budhanilkantha Municipality-11, Kathmandu, Bhagirathi (Parajuli) Gautam, 40, of Mahalaxmi Municipality-2, Lalitpur, Prabesh Parajuli, 30, of Sunsari, Prajwal Acharya, 39, of Kathmandu Metropolitan City-6 and Nisha Siwa, 47, of Jhapa ।

Among the accused, Krishna Kumar and Bhagirathi have been accused of cheating 14 victims of Rs 5.8 million on the pretext of sending them to Croatia and Greece among other countries. According to the complaint, Prabesh had taken Rs 18.90 lakh from four victims for sending him to Serbia, Rs 3.1 million from one victim and Rs 105,000 from another victim in the name of sending him to South Korea.

A police team deputed from Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office, Teku arrested them from different places based on the complaint of the victims.
