Kathmandu. Tech & Business Carnival ‘Presidential Innovista 2.0, 2026’ kicks off in Kathmandu. The event is being organized at the Presidential Graduate School in Kathmandu in association with Westcliffe University of America. The exhibition will run from June 11 to 12.
The program will help unleash students’ innovation, digital creativity and future skills, according to the college. This year’s Presidential Innovista 2.0 is divided into five different technical areas. It is divided into five areas: Computer Vision and Artificial Intelligence (AI), IoT and Robotics, Cyber Village, Software and Technology.
In this Innovista, more than 34 students from various colleges who have completed Plus Two will showcase their innovations in the Technology Pavilion under the mentorship of Presidential Graduate School students for a week. The winner of this category will be awarded a prize of up to one lakh rupees.
This program is targeted at Plus Two passing, undergraduate level students and students and young people who have a keen interest and desire in IT. Entry to the festival is free for technical learning, networking and a glimpse into future education.
The exhibition of the student-produced project, the Presidential Graduate School affiliated with American University, BSc IT; MSc IT; BBA; MBA; MBA Data Analytics; BSc Cyber Security; MBA IT; BSc Artificial Intelligence; The MBA offers programs such as Finance and Economics. In addition, the Presidency has also started a ‘Skill-Up Department’ from this year. Students studying here are called by managers from the Human Management Department (HR Department) of various companies and are informed about the market. This will give students information about the market and motivate themselves to prepare accordingly.
It not only prepares its students for employment but also facilitates them for employment and helps those who want to start their own business through Business Equation Center. In addition, if the graduate students want to learn any skill while working, the Presidential School will teach the skill for free.
In this event, BSc IT students will showcase more than 55 projects based on AI, Software & Web Development, Cyber Security and Multimedia. Executive Chairman of the college, Laxman KC, said that the projects involving around 170 students have technical and commercial potential.
Some of the notable projects in the exhibition include F-Piv drones that shower flowers, Robo Sockers, Dancing Robots, Emotion Detection System (AI detects facial expressions and recommends music).
Cybersecurity and other innovations
KC said that cybersecurity projects can address online fraud, data leaks and security of bank accounts. Smart irrigation, smart home system (automatic alarm and cut system when gas leaks) and tourism promotion software will also be on display. The exhibition will also feature a vehicle that can be remotely controlled by autonomous and 360-degree cameras.
Encourage entrepreneurship
The school’s Business Acquisition Center helps to commercialize these projects. The collaboration between IT and business students prepares these projects for marketing and investment. “Our aim is to convey the message that such innovations are possible in Nepal as well,” KC said, adding, “These projects are created by students from scratch, and we will continue to do so every year.” ‘
The school has more than 90 professors and 45 management staff. Director and Principal of the Presidential Graduate School, Kalpana Gurung, said that the credit transfer facility in collaboration with Westcliffe University will give students more opportunities to study at an international university.
“This event will be held every year. Entrepreneurs and investors will be invited and students will be provided with employment and startup opportunities. This event will further inspire future innovators, unlocking new possibilities in the ICT and business sector in Nepal,” Gurung added.
