‘Presidential Innovista 2.0’ Celebrates Over 55 Tech Projects by Students

Kathmandu. The Presidential Graduate School organized an exhibition of projects related to artificial intelligence (AI), robotics, cybersecurity, software and digital innovation. About 170 student-involved projects were put on display and 4,000 people visited the exhibition during the two-day Tech and Business Carnival on June 24 and 12. More than 55 student projects were featured at Presidential Innovista 2.0, 2026, organized by the Presidential Graduate School affiliated with Westcliff University in the US.

“Presidential Innovista 2.0 is not just a showcase, it’s a platform to connect students’ ideas, skills, and possibilities to the market. Our main goal is to show that students can apply what they learn in the classroom to solve real problems. Founder and Chairman of Presidential Graduate School Laxman KC said. Chairman KC aims to build a strong innovation ecosystem in Nepal by making Innovista more widespread in the days to come.

The students had put up projects in various fields such as computer vision and artificial intelligence, IoT and robotics, cyber village, software and technology.Personalities from various sectors and professions observed in the exhibition. Chairman of Padma Jyoti Group, Saurabh Jyoti, Managing Director of Nimbus Nepal, Ananda Bagaria, Football player Umendra Man Singh, Pradeep Maharjan, Founder, Artist and Entrepreneur Sanjog Koirala visited the expo.

The exhibition included an FPV drone that showers flowers, a robot that plays football, a robot dancing to the song, an emotion detection system that detects facial expressions and recommends music, among others. Likewise, cybersecurity projects related to online fraud, data leak and bank account security were also put on display.

The event showcased smart irrigation system, smart home system with automatic alarm and disconnect system in case of gas leak, tourism promotion software and a vehicle that can be remotely controlled with 360 degree camera. The project seeks to connect the use of technology to daily life, security, agriculture, tourism and business.

According to Laxman KC, founder and president of the Presidential Graduate School, the projects prepared by the students are not only for exhibition but are also linked to the market and commercial potential. “Our aim is to convey the message that such innovations are possible in Nepal as well,” KC said. Now, we will focus on linking such projects with industry, investors and market. ”

According to him, the school’s business incubation center will help to commercialize potential projects. The college plans to create a collaboration between IT and business students to market, invest and prepare the project for startups.

Kalpana Gurung, director and principal of the Presidential Graduate School, said that such an event will be organized every year. “This event will be held every year. Our aim is to connect students with job and startup opportunities by inviting entrepreneurs and investors. ” Gurung said.

Currently, there are about 1400 students studying in the Presidential Graduate School. The school has more than 90 professors and 45 management staff.
