RSP general convention begins

Kathmandu. The first national general convention of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has begun. The general convention has started at the ‘Guest House’ ground in Bharatpur as per the pre-announced schedule.

Party President Rabi Lamichhane and Prime Minister and senior leader Balendra Shah were also present in the inaugural ceremony. Similarly, office-bearers of the RSP, central leaders and general convention representatives were also present.

Nepali Congress President Gagan Thapa, CPN-UML leader Pradeep Kumar Gyawali, Nepali Communist Party leader Barshaman Pun and Rastriya Prajatantra Party Chairman Rajendra Lingden attended the inaugural ceremony.

Similarly, former Prime Minister Dr. Janata Samajbadi Party Chairman Upendra Yadav, Janamat Party Chairman Chandra Kanta Raut, among other leaders were present in the inaugural ceremony.

The party has said that 4,211 representatives will participate in the first national general convention of the Rastriya Samajwadi Party (RSP) in Chitwan. A large number of leaders, cadres and well-wishers of the Rastriya Janata Party (RSP) from Chitwan and neighbouring districts have been present in the inaugural ceremony.

Party President Lamichhane and senior leader and Prime Minister Shah are scheduled to jointly inaugurate the general convention by ringing a bell.
