Kathmandu. The forest staff has announced a compensation of Rs 5 lakh to the victim of the incident of a tempo falling off a cliff in Kailali. As per the agreement, the forest staff will pay Rs 5 lakh as compensation to the victims.
The probe committee has been formed to investigate the dispute on the condition of providing compensation of Rs 5 lakh to the victim. Hemraj Bista said.
According to Bista, the employees of the Division Forest Office, Dhangadhi, will collect and pay compensation of Rs 500,000 and withdraw the complaint filed by the victim against the forest staff.
On June 12, 44-year-old Dhanadevi Dhami’s tempo was thrown from acliff at Baspani along the Bhimdatta Highway in Godavari Municipality-5 of Kailali district by the employees of the Division Forest Office, Dhangadhi.Dhami then filed a complaint against the forest staff.
The Ministry of Industry, Tourism, Forest and Environment has directed the Director of the Province Forest Directorate, Dr.A five-member probe committee was formed under the convenorship of Hemraj Bista. However, the forest staff and the victims have reached an agreement till the investigation of the committee is over.
