Kathmandu. Vice-President of Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) Naresh Lal Shrestha has said that the budget for the current fiscal year is ambitious. Shrestha said this while speaking at the ‘Post Budget’ discussion program organized by the Association of Economic Journalists of Nepal (NAFIJ).

He also said that the plan to move start-ups to by adding grants, concessional loans and private sector to in the initial phase of grants, concessional loans and private sector co-investment{{{} is important.
Shrestha also said that 5 percent tax for consumers consuming more than 50 units of electricity and tax on education and health should be reconsidered.Stressing that the government should be clear on this, he stressed that it should be amended as it will be a burden on the private sector and consumers.
Shrestha has expressed concern that increasing the tax on electric EV will reduce the use of vehicles from to . According to him, the consumption of petroleum vehicles may increase again if clean infrastructure investment fee is imposed. Stating that although the budget and plans were good in the past, expected success could not be achieved due to delay in their implementation, he stressed the need of implementing good plans at present also.
