Kathmandu. The remittance inflow has increased significantly in the first 11 months of the current fiscal year 2082/83. According to the current economic and financial situation report of the country released by the Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB), the remittance inflow has increased by 38.2 per cent and reached Rs 2.12 trillion as of mid-June last year.
The remittance inflow in June alone stood at Rs
203.89 billion. The remittance inflow in the same month of the previous year had amounted to Rs 176.32 billion.
According to the report, net secondary income (net transfer) during the period stood at Rs 23.21
.07 billion. Such income had been Rs. 1669.51 billion in the same period of the previous year.
According to the NRB, the number of Nepalis who have taken final labour permit (institutional and personal – new) for foreign employment as of mid-June is 367,211 and the number of those who have taken re-labour permit is 355,735.
