Kathmandu. Minister for Agriculture, Forest and Environment Geeta Chaudhary has directed all departments and bodies under the Ministry to carry out result-oriented works so that youths can directly feel it. During the discussion held at the Ministry with the chiefs of the departments and bodies under the Ministry including Nepal Agricultural Research Council, Dairy Development Corporation, Herbal Production and Processing Company Limited and Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, Minister Chaudhary said that the incumbent government has high expectations especially of the youths ।

She also directed all the departments and bodies under the Ministry to prepare a realistic report on how many youths can be included in the internship and volunteer program with employment and remuneration within this month and submit it to the Ministry.

‘Work should be done according to the expectations of the younger generation. “All the bodies under the Ministry should present a clear plan of how many youths can be employed, remunerated, internships and volunteers within this month,” she said. ’

Minister Chaudhary also urged the youth to work in an implementation-oriented and result-oriented manner and stressed the need to develop agriculture, forestry and environment as attractive employment sectors for youths.She also directed the department heads to conduct programmes by prioritizing new graduates and youths who have returned home from abroad.

During the discussion, the department chiefs informed that internships and volunteer programs with and without remuneration are still being run through their offices across the country.
