Kathmandu. Devotees have thronged the temples and shrines of Lord Shiva across the country, including Pashupatinath, since early morning on the second Monday of the month of Shrawan. All the four gates of Pashupatinath Temple were opened since 3.00 am today, said Meena Kumari Shrestha, treasurer of Pashupati Area Development Trust. She said that the devotees have come to the temple since early morning to pay obeisance without paying any heed to the downpour.

On this occasion, arrangements have been made for easy, safe and systematic darshan of the devotees visiting the temple and special arrangement of worship. It seems that more arrangements have been made in the Pashupati area today than on the first Monday, July 4. According to the Trust, the work of Monday, which was not completed last week, has been completed this week.

Temple Guard Battalion, Nepal Police, Armed Police Force, Nepal Army, Traffic Police, Kathmandu Metropolitan Police and various religious and social organizations have also been involved in making the temple management more effective, safe and systematic.

Arrangements have been made to provide worship to hundreds of thousands of devotees visiting the Pashupatinath Temple in an easy, safe, dignified and well-managed environment, said PADT member-secretary Tirtha Shrestha.

The four gates of the temple which opened from 3:00 am will be opened for the devotees till 8:00 am after the evening aarti. The special puja will be held from 8:30 am to 12:00 noon. There are four queues to enter the temple. According to the PADT, although the devotees have come since early morning, there is no long queue. All necessary arrangements including first aid have been made for the devotees at the Pashupatinath area.

Devotees have also queued up at Gokarneshwor, Nageshwor, Doleshwor and Makhan Mahadev (also known as the small Pashupatinath) of Basantapur Durbar Square, among others. Likewise, devotees have also visited Lord Shiva temples across the country for worship and worship. See the rest of the image:
