Kathmandu. Speaking at an interaction programme on youth entrepreneurship development and welcome of new members organized by Nepal Youth Chamber of Commerce (NCCI) here today, the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Entrepreneurship stressed on strengthening the economy through investment and entrepreneurship. On the occasion, the business leaders and youth entrepreneurs held discussions on various aspects of economic revival, investment expansion, employment generation and entrepreneurship development of the country.
Addressing the program, Nepal Chamber of Commerce President Kamalesh Kumar Agrawal said that the youths should pay special attention to positive thinking, coordination and capacity building. Stating that new concept of green economy was taking momentum in the global arena, he stressed the need of preparing youths capable to lead the new world. He further said that the youths should play a leading role in expanding global network, attracting investment and creating employment opportunities.
Chairman Agrawal expressed the belief that the investment made by Nepal Chamber of Commerce in youths would contribute significantly to strengthening the country’s economy in the long run.
Coordinator of the Diamond Jubilee Main Celebration Committee and former President Rajesh Kaji Shrestha stressed on the need for the youths to move ahead in entrepreneurship by identifying new business areas and new ideas. He was of the view that a significant achievement could be achieved in the expansion of trade by expanding relations with youth chambers abroad and exchanging new technology, knowledge and business practices. “As Nepal Chamber of Commerce is the first organization in the private sector, it is a matter of pride to be associated with its glorious journey of 75 years,” he said. He said that although there are risks in trade, the contribution it creates to employment, production and economy is very important.
Former President of Nepal Chamber of Commerce, Rajendra Malla, said that youths could bring innovation in the economy by identifying new areas for the country. He urged the youths to move forward in entrepreneurship with creative thinking by making maximum use of policy opportunities related to innovation.
Mr. Dipesh Ratna Tuladhar, President of Nepal Youth Chamber said that the journey to a successful enterprise begins with a strong idea, a capable team and responsible leadership. Noting that society should respect and respect the ideas, energy, passion and farsightedness of youths, he expressed commitment that Nepal Youth Chamber would remain active for capacity building of youth entrepreneurs, expanding network and creating business opportunities. Youth Chamber Vice President Kashyap Shakya, General Secretary Neha Shrestha Amatya, Treasurer Skanda Amatya among others expressed their views in the program.
They were of the view that the government should establish a clear policy for promoting entrepreneurship, easy financial access and investment-friendly environment. The program was attended by young entrepreneurs, industrialists, businessmen and office-bearers of Nepal Chamber of Commerce.
