Kathmandu. The suspended Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Protective Micro Insurance has jumped into the Bagmati River. The suspended CEO of the company, Naresh Kumar Rokka, jumped into the river from behind the police beatat Thapathali on Monday.
He was rescued with the help of locals and police and taken to the Trauma Center as soon as he was thrown into the river . According to the police, his condition is normal.
The reason for his jump into the river is not known.However, police said they are investigating the reason behind the jump into the Bagmati river. According to family sources, Rokka, 59, of Chandra giri Municipality- 13 has been taking mental health related medication for the past few months.
Rokka, who became the CEO of Protective Micro Insurance , was suspended from the CEO of under the Securities Transaction Act and the Insurance Act on charges of falsifying details }, falsifying documents,violating the regulatory process and the Insurance Act.
Prior to this, he was the Head of the Department of Agricultural Development Digital Banking at the Bank.He entered the insurance sector after retiring from the Agricultural Development Bank .
