Kathmandu. The U. S. has tightened the student visa system . The U. S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has tightened the student visa system to prevent visa abuse and to increase oversight of foreign federal students. 

The United States has introduced a fixed-term visa rule in the student visa system by removing the ‘duration of status’ in the student visa system. 

According to the new rules, ‘F-1’ and ‘J-One’ visas of and students are subject to a maximum of 4 years of stay., on the other hand, the grace period after the completion of the study has been reduced from 60 days to 30 days.

According to the new rules, if you have to stay in the United States for more than the specified period of time, you will have to get permission from the federal government. Previously, students going to the US on a student visa could stay in the US until the completion of their studies, but now students going to the US on a student visa can stay in the US for a maximum of 4 years.

However, students who take more than 4 years to study must obtain approval from the U. S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS).
