Kathmandu. The profit of Mahuli Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha has increased by more than 10 times. According to the unaudited financial statements for the fourth quarter of the last fiscal year , the net profit of the microfinance company has increased by 1036.46. In the fourth quarter of the last FY, the company earned a net profit of Rs 19.32 crore. The company had posted a net profit of Rs 1.7 crore in the same period last year.
In the review period, the net interest income of the microfinance company increased from Rs 35.59 crore to Rs 49.78 crore.
The operating profit of the microfinance company has also increased from Rs 2.23 crore to Rs 27.61 crore.The profit of the microfinance company has also increased significantly inthe review period. The microfinance company’s distributable profit increased from Rs. 4.77 crore to Rs. 16.5 0 crore.
During this period, the NPAs of microfinance decreased from 12.16 percent to 9.80 percent.This is the reason why there has been a significant increase in the profit of microfinance. With the significant improvement in profit, the company’s earnings per share (EPS) has increased to Rs 49.88.
The total paid-up capital of the microfinance company stood at Rs 38.74 crore and the total reserve fund stood at Rs 49.56 crore.In the review period, the deposit and credit of microfinance companies increased from Rs 3.74 billion to Rs 5.50 billion, while the microfinance company extended loans of Rs 6.17 billion.
