KATHMANDU: Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) has made alternative arrangements for the supply of LP Gas (LPG) to the Kathmandu Valley and surrounding districts after the flood in the Trishuli River disrupted the Krishna Bhir road section along the Prithvi Highway in Benighat Rorang Rural Municipality-7 of Dhading.
Issuing a press release today, the NOC said that alternative supply has been arranged after holding discussion with the LP Gas industrialists as there might be inconvenience in the supply of LPG due to the obstruction of the road.
Accordingly, the gas industries in Bara, Parsa, Chitwan, Makwanpur, Nawalparasi and other districts will coordinate with other gas industries of their choice to open their empty bullets and make arrangements to refill the cylinders. The corporation has said that until the road to Krishnabhir is opened, the LP gas cylinders will be kept in the trucks and supplied to the Kathmandu Valley and surrounding districts through alternative routes.
Similarly, arrangements have been made to facilitate the supply of petroleum products and LP gas by bringing tankers and trucks to Kathmandu through alternative routes in coordination with the local administration. The corporation has said that it will continue the supply through alternative routes so that there is no problem in the supply of petroleum products and LP gas due to floods and road blockage.
