Kathmandu. The Bagmati Province government has decided to insure all government buildings. The provincial government is preparing to insure all government office buildings in the province from the current fiscal year.

A lawmaker from the state said that the state government has made such preparations keeping in mind the risk of future damage to the government structures during the Gen-G movement.

During the Gen-G agitation on September 23 and 24 last year, 60 buildings of 26 offices under the state government were set on fire, causing a loss of Rs 574 million towards physical infrastructure.A total of Rs 1.10 billion was damaged by the destruction of vehicles and goods .

At present, the state government is preparing to insure all government buildings. The state government has also allocated a budget for the insurance of the building.
