Kathmandu. The Employees Provident Fund has provided Rs. 25 million for the relief and rescue of the people affected by the devastating floods in the Bhotekoshi and Trishuli rivers of Rasuwa on August 26. The fund has provided financial assistance of Rs. 2.50 crore. The fund has deposited the amount in the Prime Minister’s Natural Disaster Relief Fund as part of its corporate social responsibility.

Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Fund, Mr. Bhupal Baral, Administrator of the Fund Mr. Bijay Kumar Shrestha and the senior officials of the Fund distributed Rs. A cheque of Rs. 2.50 crore was handed over to Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle. Finance Minister Dr. Wagle thanked the Employees Provident Fund family for their support during the disaster.

On the occasion, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Fund, Baral said that the Employees Provident Fund has been providing financial support as part of its corporate social responsibility during natural disasters, mega earthquakes and epidemics. He said that as part of this continuity, assistance has been provided to the Prime Minister Natural Disaster Relief Fund for the relief and rescue of the people affected by the floods in the Bhotekoshi and Trishuli rivers.

Similarly, Administrator Shrestha of the Fund stressed the need of cooperation and cooperation from all sides for the rescue, relief and rehabilitation of the affected citizens in this difficult time of disaster. He also expressed the commitment that the Fund would continue to provide necessary support and cooperation during the time of disaster and national crisis as part of its social responsibility in the coming days.
