Kathmandu. Nepal LP Gas Industry Association has urged industrialists to sell and distribute LPG at the old rate. Issuing a press release on Thursday, the association urged the government to sell LPG at Rs 2,060 per cylinder fixed by the Nepal Oil Corporation from Friday.
When the Krishnabhir section of the Prithvi Highway was blocked due to the Bhotekoshi floods, the industrialists had brought the gas to Kathmandu through an alternative route and sold it. The industrialists had been charging Rs 105.38 per cylinder as the transportation fare for the supply of gas to the factories outside the Kathmandu Valley.
The LPG industries that have been marketed in the Kathmandu Valley since August 28 have been selling LPG cylinders to industries based in Makwanpur, Parsa, Bara, Chitwan, Nawalparasi and Dhanusha after refilling gas cylinders.
