Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) engineer arrested with Rs 50,000 bribe

Kathmandu. Krishna Narayan Yadav, an engineer of Nepal Electricity Authority, has been arrested. The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has arrested an engineer of NEA’s Itahari distribution center with bribe money.

Yadav, a seventh-level engineer, was arrested while taking a bribe of Rs 50,000, according to the CIAA.

According to the CIAA, he is accused of demanding bribe for facilitating the installation of 20 KV power lines in a garment factory. He was arrested from Itahari Sub-Metropolitan City-9.

The Special Court has extended the remand of Yadav for investigation into the corruption case of and bribery.
