Kathmandu. NMB Bank Limited has provided assistance to the people affected by the devastating floods in the Bhotekoshi River. The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Bank has handed over a cheque of Rs. Three crore fifty-one lakh rupees to the Finance Minister.
In addition, the bank has also provided relief materials worth Rs. 10 lakhs to the people of the affected areas.
The flash floods have caused major damage to the riverine areas including Rasuwa, Nuwakot, Dhading, Gorkha and Chitwan. The floods have caused loss of life and property, displaced many families and roads, local infrastructure and hydropower projects have also been badly affected.
The bank has provided this assistance by standing with the affected citizens in this difficult situation. The bank believes that this will help in the treatment of the flood victims, provision of food and shelter, and reconstruction and rehabilitation of damaged structures.
