Kathmandu. Riddhi Siddhi Cement and Saurya Cement have donated Rs 10.1 million to the Prime Minister’s Natural Disaster Relief Fund for the relief and rehabilitation of the people affected by the devastating floods in the Bhotekoshi River.

Both the companies have said that the floods in the Bhotekoshi River on August 26 have caused a huge loss of life and property, and both the companies have said that they are with the affected people and the government in the difficult time of the disaster.

Riddhi Siddhi Cement and Saurya Cement donated Rs 50 lakh to the fund. Riddhi Siddhi Cement Chairman Shobhakar Neupane handed over a cheque of the amount to Finance Minister Swarnim Wagle on behalf of Riddhi Siddhi and Saurya Cement family.

Expressing sorrow over the loss of life and property due to the floods, the company has paid tribute to the people who lost their lives in the floods and extended condolences to the bereaved families.

Stating that relief, rehabilitation and reconstruction of the flood-affected people was the common responsibility of all, the Company has expressed gratitude to all the rescuers, relief workers, security personnel, administration, health workers and other supporters who have been deployed in rescue and relief during the time of disaster.
