Kathmandu. Individual and institutional relief collection will not be allowed in Myagdi except the account made public by the government for the relief of the flood victims. A meeting of representatives of political parties, security agencies and social organizations held at the District Administration Office has decided to request financial assistance only through the official account number and QR code made public by the government.

Assistant Chief District Officer Kulraj Acharya said that they have been requested not to collect relief by making public the numbers or QR codes of personal and institutional accounts. He has requested to deposit the collected amount directly in the government’s account.

The meeting also decided to prepare the details of the relief materials that may be received in the district and not to collect the relief materials immediately. Assistant CDO Acharya said that this decision was taken to make the relief systematic and to prevent misuse.

Similarly, two people from Myagdi have gone missing and three have come into contact with the Bhotekoshi floods in Rasuwa. According to Assistant Chief District Officer Acharya, Bhupendra Regmi, 25, of Okharbot in Malika Rural Municipality-4 and Prabin Purja, 23, of Khoriya of Dhawalagiri Rural Municipality-2 are out of contact.

Similarly, Tirthavik of Mangala Rural Municipality-5, Kirchaur, Tika Bahadur and Pradeep Purja of Khoriya of Dhawalagiri Rural Municipality-2 have come in contact, according to the administration. According to Assistant CDO Acharya, they were working at the Trishuli ‘A’ hydropower project in Rasuwa. They had fled to a safe place after the floods.

Tirtha BK, who works in Galchi of Dhading, said that he saved his life by running away after the flood and came in contact with his family four days later. He said, “As soon as I got the information about the flood, I ran away and saved my life. After walking for four days, I finally got in touch with my family.
