Kathmandu. The CPN-UMLlawmakers have decided to donate 15 days’ salary (salary) to the victims of the Rasuwa floods. The CPN-UML parliamentary party has decided to provide 15 days’ salary to help in relief, rescue and rehabilitation of the flood victims.
Chief Whip Ain Bahadur Mahar informed that the MPs have decided to deposit their 15 days’ salary of 15 days in the ‘Prime Minister’s Natural Disaster Relief Fund’. He said that more than Rs 12 lakh will be collected from the salary of theMPs . According to him, the UML has already announced to donate Rs 1.2 crore to the relief of the flood victims. According to him, the UML has already announced to provide Rs 1.20 crore for the relief of the flood victims.
Similarly, the UML has concluded that the government has not been able to do effective in the rescue and relief after the floods. Mahar said that many people have lost their lives due to the government’s failure to rescue the flood-affected people in time. He said that the victims have not been able to get relief effectively. Mahar said that the rescue work has not been done in the tunnel and other dangerous places yet .
On the other hand, Mahar said that the government’s weakness has also been seen in the management of the dead bodies. He said that the bodies were buried en masse without identifying them and not handing them over to the concerned families. According to him, the UML has decided to demand the formation of a parliamentary special committee to monitor rescue, relief, body management and search for the disappeared and coordinate with the government.
