Kathmandu. Vianet Communications has become the official internet partner of PUBG Mobile Global Open (PMGO), an international PUBG Mobile competition to be held in Nepal.

Vianet has agreed to provide the internet and connectivity infrastructure required for PMGO, which is considered to be one of the biggest international e-sports events to be held in Nepal.

In e-sports, the outcome of the game does not depend only on the skill and decision-making ability of the player. Since the performance of the internet also has a direct impact on the outcome of the game, not only high speed but also stability, consistency and low latency are considered important in professional level competitions.

Interruptions or instability in connectivity during the game can also affect the status and outcome of the game at a crucial time. This is why the responsibility of providing the necessary connectivity for international level competitions is seen as an important achievement for Vianet.

The company said that the selection of Vianet for an international e-sports event like PMGO is a testament to its network capability and reliability.

The partnership with PMGO is another important step in Vianet’s growing involvement in the e-sports space. Previously, the company has served as the official internet partner in the PUBG Mobile National Championship (PMNC). During the tournament, Vianet also provided stable and low-latency internet connectivity.

According to Vianet, for the average internet user, reliability means being able to work, stream, play games, or stay in touch without interruption. But in professional e-sports, it is even more important, where even a small interruption of a few milliseconds or at the wrong time can change the outcome of the game.

The company said that being given the responsibility of providing internet for PMGO is an opportunity to demonstrate the capacity of its network at a time when performance is of paramount importance.

Through this partnership, Vianet seeks to demonstrate that the network’s reliability, stability, and low latency are the foundation of the connectivity its customers experience on a daily basis, enabling international eSports tournaments.

With the increasing number of major gaming and e-sports tournaments of international level in Nepal, Vianet has said that it will continue to contribute to the development of connectivity infrastructure required for such projects.

Where the game should not be stopped, the network cannot fail.
