Kathmandu. The overhead bridge with lift being constructed at Kusunti Height in Lalitpur is currently in the news. The bridge, which is in the final stage of construction, is expected to be operational before or after the Chhath festival. However, the exact date of inauguration has not been announced.
The bridge is being constructed at the cost of Rs 4 6.8 million in the Ring Road area of Lalitpur Metropolitan City-13.
The construction of the bridge, which started in February 2080, was supposed to be completed within a year as per the agreement. However, due to technical problems and complications in the construction process, the work could not be completed on time.
Lifts have been arranged on both sides of the bridge. This is expected to make it easier for senior citizens, people with disabilities, patients and children to cross the road.
The bridge has been constructed with the aim of making it easier for pedestrians to cross the road on the busy Ring Road and reduce the risk of accidents. The bridge has also attracted the attention of the public due to its structure with lifts. It is expected that after the completion of the construction and operation, it will be easier for pedestrians to cross the road. See the rest of the picture:
