Kathmandu. The third edition of Nepal Premier League (NPL)(NPL) is being dominated by Nepali bowlers in Kirtipur. Nepali bowlers have been named Player of the Match in all three matches held so far.

Sher Malla of Lumbini Lions, Kamal Singh Airee of Chitwan Rhinos and Bikram Thakuri of Karnali and Yunish of Karnali were declared the best of the best. The Nepali bowlers not only took the wickets of the local {{} batter but also the famous foreign players.

In the opening match against Sudurpaschim in the match held on October 22, Lumbini bowler Sher Malla bowled 4 overs and took 3 wickets for 11 runs. In this match, he was named the player of the match and also received a prize of Rs 50,000. Sher took the wickets of famous foreign players Sherfen, Rutherford, , Scott , Kugelen and Binod Bhandari. Lumbini won the match by 7 wickets.

In the first match held on October 26, Biratnagar Kings and Chitwan Rhinos faced. Chitwan won the match by 8 runs. Kamal Singh Airee bowled brilliantly to win the match for Chitwan. He took 4 important wickets for 26 runs in 4 overs.

Kamal, who played a key role in his team’s victory, was selected as the best and got 50,000 rupees. Kamal got the wickets of Andre Russell, Angelo Mathews, Rupesh Singh and Bashir Ahmed.

In another match held on October 26, Karnali made a good start by defeating Janakpur Bolts by by 19 runs. In Karnali’s victory, the bowler Yunish performed well . Yunish bowled 4 overs and took 3 wickets for 22 runs. He won Rs 50,000 while being named Player of the Match . Unishley Harmit Singh, Jamie Nisham and Aditya took the wickets.

Top Five also Nepali Bowler

Looking at the bowling cards so far, the Nepali bowlers are seen in the top five . Only one foreign player is in the top and the other four bowlers are Nepali.

Kishore Mahato is the highest wicket-taker for Nepal. Kishore of Lumbini is at number one with 4 wickets for 22 runs ina match.

Kamal Singh Airee of Chitwan is second with 26 runs in a single match. Sher Mall a of Lumbini is third with 3 wickets in a single match, while Janakpur’s foreign players Harmit Singh are fourth and Karnali Yunish Vikram Singh is fifth .Yu nish also took 3 wickets in a match.

Foreigner

In batting, the foreign players are in the top position. Chitwan Rhinos’ David Malan is in the top with 70 from a single innings. He is also the first player to score a half-century in the current edition of the season.

Karnali is in the second position with 43 runs from a single match, while Lumbini’s Darcy is in the third position with 40 runs. Nepal is in the fourth and fifth position with while the Nepali batter is in the third position with {{}} and the batter.

Biratnagar’s Imran Sheikh is fourth with 39 runs and Pawan Saraf (37 runs from Karnali) is in the fifth position . Meanwhile, Chitwan is the team with the highest score in the tournament while the team with the lowest score is Sudurpaschim. Chitwan is the team with the highest score with 157 runs, while the Sudurpaschim is the team with the lowest score by scoring 87 runs.

Lumbini is at the bottom of the points table with 2 points, while Sudurpaschim is at the bottom with 2 points. Out of the eight teams, Kathmandu and Pokhara are yet to play. Other teams have played one match each÷.
