Kathmandu. With the closure of the written examination and skill test of driving license in Chitwan, people coming from Chitwan and surrounding districts are facing problems. The service recipients are facing problems as the written and practical examinations have been stopped since July 26 due to the order of the Supreme Court.

According to Govinda Poudel, information officer of the Transport Management Office, Bharatpur, the written examination and skill test have been stopped after the court banned the services being conducted at a private trial center here. With the postponement of the examination, the examination of 800 people who took the re-trial has also been stopped.

Similarly, about two thousand service recipients who give weekly re-trial and regular examination have been affected. According to him, the examination was stopped after the court ordered to cancel the contract made at the center and start the re-contract process. He said that the tender could not be called as there was no directive from the ministry. He said, “The work of driving license has not been done as there has been no circular from the ministry.” ‘

At present, the office has not been able to do other work except for driving license, vehicle owner certificate, route permit and so on. When the trial center was in operation here, 400 new and old service seekers used to take the written and skill test of the driving license at a time.
