Kathmandu. Tipper service has been banned in Kavrepalanchowk district from October 14 to November 24 on the occasion of Bada Dashain, the great festival of Nepalis.

Issuing a notice, the District Administration Office has banned the operation of tippers from Phulpati to Purnima in the district.

Assistant Chief District Officer and Information Officer Mahendra Bishwakarma said that the District Security Committee has decided not to operate tippers in the district from October 14 to November 24.

According to him, the decision has been taken to minimise the risk of road accidents and to make the movement of passenger vehicles easy and safe as the number of vehicles will increase on major roads of the district including BP Highway and Araniko Highway during Dashain festival.
