Kathmandu. The foundation stone has been laid for the construction of a building of Shree Janajyoti Secondary School in Sanni Triveni Rural Municipality-4 of Kalikot Province, Nepal.
The financial assistance of the Government of India is about Rs. The school building is being constructed at a cost of Rs 9.3 crore. This high impact community development project will be implemented through Sanni Triveni Rural Municipality of Kalikot. This is the first High Impact Community Development Project in Kalikot district of Nepal.
On the occasion, the chairperson of Sanni Triveni Rural Municipality and other stakeholders appreciated the development assistance provided by the Government of India. They believe that the new infrastructure will help to strengthen learning environment for students and teachers of Sanni Tribeni Rural Municipality.
In a video message, Indian Ambassador to Nepal Navin Srivastava extended his best wishes to all stakeholders of the project. He reiterated the firm commitment of Government of India to work with the Government of Nepal and the people of Nepal for achieving shared development and prosperity.
Since the inception of the High Impact Community Development Project (HCDP) program, the Government of India has implemented nearly 600 projects covering all 7 provinces and 74 districts of Nepal. Out of these, 18 projects are located in different regions of Karnali State. In addition, the Government of India also gifted 56 ambulances and 14 school buses to various health and education organizations in Karnali Province along with 4 ambulances and 2 school buses in Kalikot.
As close neighbours, India and Nepal enjoy extensive and multi-sectoral cooperation. The implementation of High Impact Community Development projects reflects India’s continued support to strengthen Nepal’s efforts to advance development and development and prosperity in priority areas.
