Kathmandu. Indian Army Chief General Dhiraj Seth, PVSM, UVESM, AVSM has arrived in Kathmandu on an official visit to Nepal. His visit is expected to further strengthen the long-standing special defence partnership between Nepal and India.
General Seth’s visit to Nepal is linked to the special and historic tradition of conferring the honorary rank of General in each other’s armies to the Army Chiefs of Nepal and India. This tradition has been a symbol of the extraordinary military relationship between the two countries.
On his arrival, he was received by senior officers of the Nepal Army and representatives of the Embassy of India in Kathmandu. During his visit, he met with Indian Ambassador to Nepal Navin Srivastava.
During the meeting, matters related to Nepal-India relations and collaboration in the field of defence and security were discussed. The visit is expected to further strengthen the multi-faceted ties between the two countries and take the defence and security cooperation to a new height.
