Kathmandu. City Express Group has donated Rs 1.11 crore to the Prime Minister’s Natural Disaster Relief Fund for the search, rescue, relief and rehabilitation of the people affected by the Bhotekoshi floods in Rasuwa.

The company said it has deposited the amount in the fund as part of its social responsibility stating that the natural disasters have caused human and physical loss in Rasuwa, Nuwakot, Dhading, Gorkha, Tanahun, Chitwan among other districts as well as affecting the daily life of the people.

Meanwhile, with an aim to enable Nepalis abroad to send support to their families in the difficult time of disaster, City Express has decided to waive the service charge charged on remittances from different countries of the world from the day of floods.

The company has paid tribute to the people who lost their lives in the devastating floods and expressed deep condolences to the bereaved families. It also expressed gratitude to the security personnel, volunteers, local communities and concerned agencies who are working round the clock in rescue, relief and rehabilitation.
