Kathmandu. The Public Service Commission (PSC) has been found to have been negligent during the publication of the results of the written examination for the post of Assistant Director of Nepal Rastra Bank. After the candidates applied for the retotaling examination, the result sheet was seen and the marks obtained by the examinees were found to be different. After the difference in the marks, the previously published results were canceled and another result was made public.
Admitting its serious negligence, the Commission has revised the result of the advertisement No. 15/2082 (Open and Inclusive), Administrative Service, Officer Third Class, Assistant Director.
The commission had published the results of the examination given by a total of 1,077 candidates on August 29. But after not being satisfied with the result, the candidates applied for retotaling. After looking at the answer sheets, it is seen that the marks obtained by Sandeep Luitel, the examinee of roll number 4057, were different. He was not in the list in the initial result. But later on the retotal, it was found that he had passed in the open category. After the public service found that the person who had passed in this way had failed the public service, the notice No. The result of 209/083-84 was canceled and the revised result was published as per the decision of September 1.
In the results published by the commission initially, 31 candidates were selected in the open category. According to the latest information, the number has increased by 1 to 32. However, the negligence of the public service is not limited to this. In the women’s category, 20 students initially passed but later 21 passed. In the women’s category, Sunita Khanal’s name was not in the initial results. Her name has also been added in the latest results, which means that she also passed the examination but failed in the initial examination. If you look at all the lists, 60 people had passed earlier and then 62 have been included in the list.
The Public Service Commission is an institution trusted by many. Many people think that there is no fluctuation in the public service. But what happened in the examination of the Rastra Bank has shocked everyone. It is said that the score of the public service examination is verified at various extremes. But the difference in the final result has also lost faith in those who check the answer sheets, verify them, add the numbers, and verify them again.
According to the Public Service Commission, while adding the marks in the answer sheet, it is also seen whether the number given by the examiner of the answer sheet is connected correctly or not. The Public Service Commission says that the marks of the answer sheet once seen are verified again. But this time, what the viewers have seen, they have done it arbitrarily to tarnish the trust of the public service. This has not only raised questions about the ability of those who are employed in the Public Service Commission, but it has also shown how negligent they are in their work.
According to the commission, this is probably the first time that the results have been different due to such retotaling. The question of the examinees is whether this incident was the first or it was like this before, the matter did not come out.
